All Day Scrap

On Saturday, Dottie, Kris, & I went to Recollections in Frisco (about 17 miles from our house). We got there around noon, but decided to go grab lunch at Fuddrucker's so we wouldn't have to interupt our creative juices. ;-)

I worked on our Bermuda trip from last year, Dottie worked on her Nag's Head trip from last year and Kris worked on her Myrtle Beach trip from last year. We were pretty successful with our accomplishments. And NO. I did not scrap all 600 pictures that we took in Bermuda, just 200 of them.

Recollections provided dinner from Jason's deli (reminds me of Atlanta Bread Company) and then we headed out at nine. I could have stayed longer, but I didn't want to torture Dottie, since she was riding with me. Dottie and I joked that we will probably keep our bags packed for the next time. (Actually, it really wasn't a joke, I haven't done any scraping at home yet.)

Relaxing

Mike and Sugar catching up on emails in the office/craftroom.

King of Beer

The Budweiser Clydesdales were here in April for the Grapevine Main Street Days. Plus the donkey from the commercial. They were gorgeous. They each had their own fan. They would keep turning for the fan to blow on their faces and then theirs sides and then of course their rumps. :-)

Howdy from Flower Mound Texas!

I have really disappointed myself with my lack of 'keeping in touch' with all my friends. For that I am truly sorry. I am hoping to keep in much better communication by keeping this blog up to date.

As of right now...I would like to announce that Mike and I are the proud Aunt & Uncle of the cuttest little girl, Alexandra MacKenzie Koch. New Mom & Dad (Mike's brother Tim and his wife Gwen) and Kaiser (the dog) have been enjoying the newest addition to the Koch household of Delaware.

My birthday was on Monday (7/10). Mike got me flowers and took me to my favorite restaurant down here, Saltgrass Steakhouse. YUM!! We had a picnic on Sunday with Dottie & Winston, Steve, Gretchen, Nicholas, & Lucia (the later are dogs), Mickey, Su, Damian & Miller (dog), Kris, her Mom, Ruth, and her niece Beth, Cindy-Lou and of course Mike and I and Sugar. We had a lot of fun in the pool and eating. It was nice to have a gathering. We used to do them so much in PA, that I really miss them.

Mike and I are still working on the house. Hanging pictures, still buying some furniture, working in the yard, you know....all that fun stuff.

Sugar is loving the sun. She goes out and just lays on the cement and bakes in the sun. When she is sufficiently baked, she goes and lays in the grass to cool down, then scratches at the door to be let into the air conditioning. Which is kinda funny, she never wanted to be in the air in PA.

I have gotten Mike to try a lot of different restaurants down here. We have found a good Mexican restaurant called Christina's. The food is really good. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are on the streets outside of a Mexican cafe. Another Mexican place is Anamia's. I know that place as the place with the HOT salsa. Whew. The first time we went there, I was eating the chips and salsa, loving it, but still eating them even though it was really hot. I drank SIX glasses of iced tea. My mouth was on fire. I will go back and I will eat that salsa again.

Well...I don't want to ramble in my first update...so I will sign off for now. Enjoy the picture of our little niece. She was born June 2nd. :-)
